Bobi starts monthly cleaning at Mulago

Bobi Wine

We are glad to report that local artistes are gradually responding to charity calls. We told you a few weeks back that Bebe Cool is currently fundraising funds for a one Conrad Ruguda to be able to undergo a kidney transplant in New Delhi, India.

And guess who just joined the charity practice? Singer Bobi Wine has embarked on a charity mission. At the weekend, the ghetto president launched general cleaning sessions at Uganda’s biggest hospital-Mulago Hospital.

Bobi will every last Saturday of the month lead a delegation of fans, family and friends to clean both inside and outside Mulago Hospital’s wards.

Bobi Wine, wife Barbie, Fire Base crew members and a few fans were the centre of attraction on Saturday morning as they cleaned wards and talked to patients at Mulago during the inaugural “General Cleaning day.”

Speaking to Sqoop, Bobi told us that he loves the idea and will ensure that he interests corporates and other artistes to join him to clean up Mulago every last Saturday of the month.  “The next time we are cleaning, I request everyone to carry something for a patient at Mulago Hospital. I’ll carry a lot for the patients,” Bobi promised! Go Bobi!
