MC Kats celebrates birthday with orphans

Last Friday city events host Eddie Katamba aka Mc Kats turned 29. To commemorate the big day, the Exposed show host on NTV decided to take a break from booze and loud music.

He drove to Angel Babies’ home, an orphanage situated in Rubaga and along the way, the emcee shopped for rice, sugar, posho, soap, salt, Vaseline, footballs and cases of soda.

Kats who was in company of his five-year old daughter Briana was welcomed with cheers by the disadvantaged children who kept reminding him they watch him on TV all the time. Kats enjoyed a meal and later cut his birthday cake with the children amidst excitement.

When contacted, Kats told us that he had visited the orphanage earlier and was touched to learn that the kids there had never known a birthday party since they were abandoned by their parents at tender ages.

“I decided that since I drink and party with my friends all the time, I had to sacrifice a happening day like Friday to spend it with these less privileged kids. I was happy to see them smile. I thank God for the thought,” Kats said. That was a heart of gold Kats, other celebrities should pick a leaf!
