Now may not be good timing for this movie but you can always watch it again during the Christmas season. It is the kind you can watch again and again and still want to repeat the musical scenes.
Five or more years after, the one thing about this movie that will stay in my mind is the song.
Billy Mack (Billy Nighy) an artiste is trying to make a comeback and does so by changing lyrics of his love song. It works like a charm as it portrays Christmas’ infectious love.
The movie tells different couples’ love stories – how they express and hunt for love. Some flirt with it, let it slip away while others hold tightly onto it.
The voiceover (Hugh Grant) says that whenever he gets gloomy by the state of the world, he imagines arrival scenes at an airport terminal and the pure uncomplicated love when friends, family, lovers are welcomed back. Love begins and love ends. It is emotional and hilarious thanks to Billy. He makes this a laugh out loud, must see. It will make you believe in love again if
you had stopped.
