Good effects and action make Real Steel the movie to grab off the shelf or go watch at the cinema. It has been nominated in Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects.
It returns Hugh Jackman, the man who starred in the X-Men franchise, Australia, Deception and Scoop among other movies on the screen.
He leads the cast on this science fiction work in which robots are taking over from human boxers. Hugh is a retired boxer who, for the love of the game, decides to acquire himself a boxer robot called Ambush.
He is out of the ring but when his robot is competing he will sentimentally support it especially when it is destroyed by another robot called Black Thunder, a bull belonging to promoter Ricky. What is more is that Charlie made a bet that Ambush would win. Charlie now owes Ricky $20,000, which he doesn’t pay before leaving.
Charlie is informed that his ex-girlfriend has died, and that he must attend a hearing to decide the fate of his preteen son Max. The story takes shape from these two absurd incidents.
