Club beer takes over Timaya for regional Mega Fest gig

Untitled-1
Launched last year, the Club Mega Fest kicked off with a bang, with four international acts on one stage.  Well, the Mega Fest is back and it has come early this time round unlike last year when it was held in September.  Word on our desk is that Club Beer is turning the Mega Fest into a regional affair. We have learnt that there will be four regional Mega Fests, before a grand one in Kampala later this year.
And the debut regional Mega Fest will be in Jinja come May 16. The Jinja Mega Fest was confirmed last week  after Club Beer took over Nigerian singer Timaya’s concerts.
“They (Nile Breweries) sat with Kayan Promotions and they came to a concession. The Timaya show is now going to be the first regional Club Mega Fest ever. The show dates and venues remain unchanged. The first show will be at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja on May 16 and the second show will be at Sports Beach Entebbe on May 17,” Suudi Lukwago, the man behind Timaya’s visit told us.
Suudi told us that the Jinja show will go for Shs10,000 while the Entebbe show will go for Shs20,000. According to insiders at Nile Breweries, the Club Mega Fest concerts will spread throughout other regions with shows in Mbarara, Gulu and Kampala. Musicians including Maro, Radio & Weasel, A Pass, Sheebah and Nutty Neithan will share the stage with the Sanko star.
