So many people in Uganda, lack the basic needs in life like shelter, food, and clean water among others but ACFAL (A Call For All Foundation Africa) has come to rescue some of these people.
Founded in 2012 with the aim of caring for and empowering the needy, the NGO has greatly impacted many lives in different communities around Kampala and beyond.
Among the areas that have benefited from ACFAL include Kalangala Island where people had a serious problem of land grabbing but the legal team at the foundation helped the affected people get their land back from the imposters.
“I inherited a piece of land from my father who had also inherited it from his father. I was using this land as a farm and to rare some animals but about three years ago, some strange people came and claimed it was their land. The land title and other supporting documents couldn’t help me as they had money to buy from whoever they wanted. I was losing my land until the ACFAL people came to my rescue. Their legal team played a very big role in securing my land and I will forever be grateful,” said Simon Masaba, a resident of Kalangala.
Masaba is however not the only beneficiary from the foundation. Many school-going children especially in a place called Bussi and Kawempe at Lugoba Muslim Voc Secondary School have benefited in several ways. The foundation besides giving out scholarships to different individuals has been handing out scholastic materials including books, geometry sets, pencils, colors, tissue, and basins among others every term, and to the girls, they have been donating sanitary pads now and then to help them get safe menstrual periods in a bid to fulfill their main objective of having annual fundraising to archive the aim of building schools for orphans and disadvantaged children in Africa and fully fledged hospitals with modern facilities for mothers in Africa.
‘They have been offering counseling and guidance workshops spearheaded by the best councilors and donating foodstuff to the less privileged.
The foundation has also been actively involved in other fields including medical care, child care, youth empowerment, elderly support, and women empowerment among others.
