Lucky Mbabazi’s aeromba dance to inspire women

When you look at Lucky Mbabazi, a celebrated radio presenter, you can hardly believe that she is mother of four. That is because she has always kept in shape and many questions have been asked how she does it.

With many questions being asked, Lucky decided to come up with a fitness event dubbed Lucky’s Groove Back in 2019, a physical fitness and wellness experience that allows women and men to have fun while working out at the same time.
Three editions were held since then and it could have been more if it wasn’t for the distraction of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Well, after a pause of two years, the event is back on and happening this Sunday at the MTN arena Lugogo.

This belated 4th edition is going to run under the “aeromba” theme, which is basically a fusion of aerobics and Zumba but will have instructors in yoga among others.

Asked why they decided to use the ‘Aeromba’ for this edition’s theme, Lucky, the brain behind this initiative said she realised that many people are so interested in dancing and that it is one of the easiest ways of exercising.

“This edition is also a celebration of what we survived during the last couple of years. I am just here to encourage, inspire and motivate everyone to live positively by taking charge of their own wellbeing through simple physical exercises,” she said.

This edition will be headlined by renowned instructors; Robert Ddamulira and Peter Fog of Robbie Fitness for aerobics, Gerry Opoka of Soul fitness for Zumba and Janat Tuffgal for Strength exercises.
Gates will open at 8am this Sunday May 7, 2023 and entrance fee is Shs 20,000.
