For most people, including artistes, January has never been an easy month.
Business is ‘slow’ in that they have always avoided holding concerts that month, some with claims that it’s jinxed.
By mid-January, some people would have spent their salary during the festive season are barely surviving on savings.
However, for singer David Lutalo who has always made a tendency of holding one every year this did not worry him.
When asked previously why he has always held concerts in January, he said he chose that month for safety reasons.
According to him, other artistes fear it because usually there’s low turn-up of fans in January. Not this time round as Spice Diana joined him to also have her concert not only in the same month but on the same day.

Unlike in the past, Lutalo somehow panicked, he started hawking tickets here and there but it was really worth it.
His ‘Nakuusima’ concert that happened last evening at cricket oval was a success with a crowd that many said was more than Chameleon’s, Levixone’s and Gravity’s.
As photos of Spice Diana’s show at Freedom City continued were being shared, Lutalo had also started smiling by 9pm and seemed not bothered about what was happening at Freedom City. His show was safe.

This was also the time when key performances started with artistes such as Nina Roz, Hassan Ndugga, Geosteady and Lydia Jazmine among others. But it was Levixone and Gravity that dominated that round, forcing revelers to wave their hankies and chairs in the air.
The main man came on stage at exactly 10pm and started off his long live performance with ‘Mile’ before going on to do others like ‘Gunsitula’, ‘Engumba’, ‘Wa gyetugenda’, ‘Kapapala’, ‘Ngumba zange’ and ‘Mugumu’ among others. The first session lasted for an hour before he left the stage for Chance Nalubega, Maureen Nantume, Catherine Kusasira, Mesach Semakula and Pr Wilson Bugembe.
For his second session, Lutalo came with a bang, performing hits like ‘Kwasa’, ‘Eat Zote’, ‘Wololo’ ‘Ujuwe’, ‘Manya’ and lastly ‘Nakusiima’.
The show was well curated, with supporting artistes doing not more than three songs apart from the few crowd pullers, Silk events this time round had an improved sound and Lutalo performed to his expectation.
