Staying relevant in the Uganda music industry in no easy feat and the huge number of one-hit-wonders is testimony to this. There are just a few who have achieved permanent residence on hit music play lists.

Despite the fact that she has not been releasing songs back-to-back like other artistes, Juliana Kanyomozi has managed to stay afloat in the very competitive industry for over 15 years.

According to Juliana, her fans and followers who have stayed by her side in both good and bad times have helped her achieve this.

She is one of the most followed celebrities in Uganda and yesterday, she got 1,000,000 Facebook followers, a milestone that no musician has achieved yet. Because of this, the ‘Mukume’ artiste has decided to gift one lucky follower with cash equivalent to her number of followers.

“God has been good to us.. Guess what, our family has grown and we are just a few more followers to hit 1 million…. It’s only befitting that we celebrate this.. I have 1 million Uganda shillings for a lucky follower that I will randomly choose from you guys. Celebrate the 1 million Family with 1 million Ugx just for you.. . Let’s go!!!!!!!!!,” she posted.
