Two weeks ago we reported that Nessim, a producer at Badi Music had thrown in the towel to focus on his own recording studio. Now the latest we have is that the founder, Bashir Lukyamuzi, and cleaners might be the only people left at the Makindye-based studio.
Apparently A Pass and Ykee Benda, who were signed to the label have also left – not to follow Nessim, but that they will be standing on their own.
Ykee Benda told us that he did not leave Badi Music in bad faith. The Farmer singer said he was going to start his own music group whose name he did not disclose, but tipped us that he had signed a new artiste already.
Our efforts to reach A Pass for comment were futile.
