They say blood is thicker than water but it seems when it comes to DJ Nimrod and Innocent Nahabwe, it is the other way round. DJ Nimrod, who works at his brother Nahabwe’s Gaxaly FM, has his job hanging on the line for reportedly extorting money from artistes.
We hear that the balded DJ asked singer Rema Namakula for Shs700,000 to host her on his radio show. Rema, who did not have that kind of money at the time, managed to raise Shs300,000, promising to raise the balance on the day of the interview.
According to an inside source that preferred anonymity, Rema made the down payments two weeks before the show but when she was going for the interview, she got information that Nimrod was asking for more money from her manager. This didn’t go well with the singer, who called Nahabwe. Nimrod was then summoned to the Human Resource’s office for questioning.
Investigations on Nimrod are still ongoing but it is said that if found guilty, it will be the end of the road for him.
