The latest we have is that besides splashing $5 notes at guests, and no beer at the wedding (but people also! How do you anticipate beer at a Muslim function?), guests missed food at SK Mbuga’s wedding at Serena Hotel.
Apparently when the announcement came that dinner was served, guests in the come one-come-all-category thought they would all leave with a tray of food – Muslim style, but alas!.
Only the ‘important people’ and just a handful of kayola guests got food. As they waited in the queue, Mbuga – the groom, who had no idea what was happening at the serving point, reached for the microphone and told people that there was more food. A few lucky ones got away with a plate of just matooke. Someone account for that Shs3b please! -Sylvia Owori?
