They say when elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers. Indeed organisers and revelers at the Club Mega fest in Masaka suffered at the hands of two artistes who were fighting over who should perform last.
It has been long since such a scenario happened and last Saturday was a sure sign that old habits do die hard. The event, which took place on Edward Avenue, had Dr Jose Chameleone, Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool as headliners of the show, other performers were Sheebah, Gravity Omutujju , Big Eye, King Saha and Catherine Kusasira, among others.
By 2am, everyone had performed and left was Bobi Wine and Chameleone. The crowd was not sure who was coming on stage first and it took about 30 more minutes before Bobi Wine came on stage, devoid of energy.
There were rumours that the two artistes exchanged words with one of the stage managers on who closes the show. And it was until the manager showed them the programme with Chameleone closing the event that Bobi stepped on stage.
