Yemi Alade, Sauti Sol to perform on UEA

Yemi Alade is in the country. And no, she is not looking for Johnny. The Nigerian songstress who jetted into the country on Wednesday will perform live at the Uganda Entertainment Awards (UEA) 2016 scheduled for today at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Alade, who came with a 20-member entourage immediately embarked on a media tour to vamp the audience for the awards. She has also been vigorously rehearsing for the showcase tonight.
Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol who only last weekend left Ugandans craving for more during the Club sponsored Megafest, will also perform at the UEA’s after a last minute deal was reached earlier in the week.

News reaching this desk also indicates that former Big Brother contestant and beauty queen Ellah (Stella Nantumbwe) will share a table with Sauti Sol in the wake of tabloid news about her disgraceful behavior last week.
While you might be forced to think a little romance might be brewing on that table, Abby Plaatjes, Gaetano Kaggwa’s ex-girlfriend from Big Brother Africa season one will also be in attendance. Gaetano is set to grace the awards too; and this is bound to be a epic reunion.
South African Queen of Entertainment Bonang Matheba who hosts “Beyond The Red Carpet” on E! also arrived in the country yesterday. Her arrival excited Uganda’s fashion eccentrics and a fire is already brooding among fashion circles and revelers are buzzing on what to wear.
