Besides having some of the best tourist attraction areas in East and Central Africa, Jinja has something else to pride itself in and that is artiste Maro, the proclaimed RnB Kyabazinga. The artiste has made the region forget about other musicians such as Gen Mega Dee, Sylvia Kyansuti and Rachael Magoola, after holding two successful concerts, topping charts with more than five songs and recently being named the new Busoga Tourism ambassador. The Kyokoba artiste alongside former Miss Uganda Leah Kalanguka was recently given the new responsibility in a ceremony held at Crested Crane Hotel in Jinja.
They will later be approved by the Kyabazinga of Busoga Gabula Nadiope William Kadhumbula IV in a private ceremony before they start work and they are required to promote Busoga’s tourism to the outside world as well as visit and promote domestic tourism as public figures.
But more is required of Maro because he is expected to boost and promote tourism in Busoga through his music, since he happens to be a sought-after artiste lately.
The ceremony was attended by Maro, Miss Tourism Busoga region Enid Mirembe, Leah and other top dignitaries from the Busoga Kingdom.
