When you thought former Big Brother housemate Gaetano was away from the limelight, there seems to be some people who still value his relevance. News reaching us is Gaetano, together with Sanyu FM presenter Crystal Newman, will host a TV show dubbed the Friends and Benefits show.
The show, which will air on NTV, will run between September and November this year and the content of the show will be a mix of interviews from successful and inspiring stories, to a little adventure.
The show, which will run every Sunday, will have most of the scenes shot from the countryside and Gaetano said he is very excited and looking forward to hosting show. “Ordinary people with special stories coming out to become successful in life is very inspiring and I am expecting to get a roller coaster of emotions as the show takes us on a journey with the different individuals and how saving changed their lives for the better.”
Gaetano is not new to TV, as he co-hosted Studio 53, a travel magazine programme on MNET, alongside South Africa’s Rosie Motene, who is now head of production at NTV Uganda. He has also hosted Tusker Project Fame All Stars reality TV show alongside Eve D’Souza from Kenya in 2011.
According to sources, the two hosts have been in long negotiations over the deal and last week, all the parties agreed to meet half way and close the deal. The most compelling and best told story among the 20 will earn the beneficiary Shs30m at a grand finale that will have top CEOs and VVIPs in Uganda in November.
