When Bad Black was released from Luzira prisons recently, she promised to venture into gospel music. Many did not take her seriously but she seems to be committed to her word.  Last Friday evening during Sheeba Karungi’s Nkwatako video premier, Bad Black made a surprise appearance at Laftaz comedy lounge where the event was taking place.

The ex-convict real names Shanita Namuyimbwa was not even lined up as one of the curtain raisers at the event but just used the opportunity to see if her song would be well received by the crowd.

Although revelers expected expected her to throw money around or order for an open bar as was the norm before her conviction, the socialite instead grabbed the microphone and performed her latest release Mudguard, a gospel song to the amusement of the crowd.  The performance may not have been the best but Bad Black clearly enjoyed the time as the crowd her on.

We have learnt that, the video shoot of this song was finalized a few days ago and Sasha Vybz, a renowned video director in the region was behind it.
Bad Black was a few weeks back released from jail after serving four years behind bars and announced that she was becoming a gospel artiste at a press conference she held at Liquid silk.
