News reaching us from NTV indicates that MC Esco is the new replacement for MC Kats on the weekly Saturday Xpozed music show. According to a statement from NTV Uganda, Esco takes over from Kats as the new show host after the expiry of Kats’ contract.
In the statement, management said they were grateful to Kats for all the great work he did while at NTV and wished him the best in his future endeavors.
MC Kats was over the weekend unveiled as the host of a daily show dubbed ‘After 5’ on NBS TV, that is similar to NTV’s ‘The Beat’.
Sources told us that Kats’ contract at NTV expired in December 2015 and was not renewed.
According to the statement, Esco, Kats’ replacement, had been co-hosting the show and had gathered relevant knowledge and experience.
The station went on to say they believe Esco will be a good fit for the programme which targets young viewers. The MC has been undergoing grooming and training to appeal to the young viewers.
The statement from NTV further noted: “Xposed is our signature music show for young viewers and MC Esco fits well within our strategy to refresh and align our presenters with our viewers and their tastes. Esco will easily connect with them and we know he fits the bill perfectly.”
Congs Esco on your latest appointment; we wish you all the best!
