When we said singer Bobi Wine’s daughter was getting a multi-million deal even while in her diapers, many thought we were just finding a reason to write about the newly born Kyagulanyi.
And at barely two months old, baby Shine received her first multi-million endorsement deal as the face of ‘7 Days’ diapers in Uganda.
And when we announced that Bobi’s entire family had clinched a multi-million deal, many rushed to think the ghetto president had shared what he was smoking with us. But even that came to pass a few days ago when Bobi, his wife and four children appeared in an advert for Snack eats and Waves.
The Kyagulanyis made history as the first celebrity family in Uganda to get an endorsement deal as a family. Barbie told us that they were selected by Mothers food company- the makers of Snacks eats and Waves to be the face of their products because of the way they have handled themselves as a celebrity family.
Barbie was, however, tightlipped on the remuneration bit. However, sources close to the ghetto president told us that he has received more than Shs80m to be the face of the new snacks for the next one year. The source told us that the Kyagulanyis are tasked with doing supermarket activations during which they will urge children and parents to shop for Snacks eats and Waves.
