Four One One

The return of King Kong

About four months ago, the comedy fraternity almost lost one of its own after King Kong was involved in a fatal accident on Kira Road. He sustained injuries that left a big scar on his face. Besides losing a few kilograms but last Friday at Theatre Labonita, the comedian returned with a bang in an event dubbed ‘The Return of the Expendable’.

It was a welcome back gig for the one time radio presenter and for those who attended; it was much more than a show.
King Kong proved that the accident was just a simple setback because his skits were on point and so were his dancing antics. He even went ahead and made jokes from his tragic incident.

“When I got the accident, the doctors did a thorough check up and discovered that most of my body parts had actually grown bigger especially from the waist downwards and I thank God for that. The upper parts might have become a bit smaller but that is okay.”
He said before undressing only to remain in a dress-shirt that had earlier on looked like a vest.

The comedian also used the platform to thank whoever helped him in his trying time and sending regards to his landlord for giving him two months grace period.

He also thanked the headmaster of school where his children attend for allowing them to study for free.
King Kong shared a touching story of how he lost one of his child although he doesn’t regret it. I lost my son but I don’t regret it except that I almost joined him but God just decided to send me back.”

And besides the comedy skits, King Kong also proved that he hasn’t lost his dance moves and on several occasions took on his dancer called Eve with different moves.

This was however not a one man show as other comedians like Zuzu, Madrat and Chicco, Mariachi and Bright Onak came in and supported one of their own.
