Comedian Richard Tuwangye and his longtime girlfriend, Sharon Atwiine have been studying each other for over 10 years. They passed these “classes” with flying colours as their report cards read two children. And now they have decided to graduate by making it official.
News on our desk is that Tuwangye will be putting comedy aside and head to Ntungamo in western Uganda and officially get introduced to Sharon’s parents on August 1.
But since they (Sharon’s parents) already know him, not for his fame on Fun Factory’s comedy skits that run on NTV, but for the fact that he has been living with their daughter for several years, resulting in her visiting the labour ward twice, ‘making it official’ is just the right thing to do.
Tuwangye is holding a consultative meeting with close friends and relatives this Sunday to table his intentions. He will be shocked that his intentions had to end up in these pages, especially that he has been treating the preparations as a highly confidential matter.
The comedian, according to close friends, will also be announcing the date he expects to walk Sharon down the aisle during the Sunday meeting. “He is bent on finalising everything this year. So, he will also communicate the proposed wedding dates on Sunday when we meet at his house,” a source told us.
Tuwangye and Sharon’s story is clearly an indicator that your day is coming dear female readers; be inspired! All the best Richard and Sharon.
