CURRENT CAR
I drive a Dodge Journey 2011 model. I love that it’s a family car with screens for my children to watch movies on a long trip plus its inbuilt MP3 player; I love music. It’s fast and stable on the road.
DREAM CAR
Let’s say cars, because they are many! The Dodge Ram Pickup, Porsche Cayenne and a Mercedes Benz Cross Country. I hope to be able to customise them to my own specs including a surround sound system.
FIRST JOB
I worked as a researcher and adult educator in agriculture with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), one week after my graduation.
CURRENT JOB
Gosh, being self employed, a job title really means nothing. But I am the Director Finance and Operations at SMS One Ltd. Strictly going by the title, once a project is agreed on, then I have to put together the resources needed to run the business activities for successful implementation of the project. This includes finances and human resource.
got where i am by
I cannot talk about that, without talking about my husband, who is also my business partner. We put all the training, skills and knowledge we had acquired over time into use. As trainers we knew firsthand the importance of communication and technology in changing communities and households livelihoods. We were trained by the best managers in the world and under the best work systems.
FAV GADGET
My favourite gadget is my phone, a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I love its camera and large screen. My cell phone is my constant companion. I do everything work and social related including studying my Bible on it.
FAV MOVIE/series
Let’s say movies. My best of all time are the Ten Commandments, Sound of Music, Police Academy, Rocky and Beverly Hills Cop. I am not really a movie fan. But those movies remind me of my childhood.
FAV MEAL
Haaaaa….I love my food. So I love a variety of food. I love beans and posho, those I can eat anytime anyday in any form.
WORST HABIT
I either get impressed first time with people or ideas or else it will be an uphill task to convince me otherwise.
INSPIRED BY
I’m inspired by the fact that there is good in every situation and everyone. Even something that was done with a bad/wrong intention can turn out good. There is always a silver lining in any dark cloud, so I always look out for it.
