To many dancehall music lovers, Vampino is appreciated as one of the best in that genre in Uganda. However, unlike Peter Miles, Vampino has not been as lucky at getting opportunities to record with Jamaican artistes.
But the Kwekunyakunya singer is finally set to share a stage with one of the biggest international dancehall icons, Konshens and you never know what might come out of it.
The two are booked to perform at the same show, next Friday July 11, in Denmark. And forget Konshens’ Kampala shows, where a streak of artistes struggled to meet him and later struggled to get a chance to share a stage with him.
This time round, Vampino will be sharing the stage with Konshens and just two other performers, David Jay and Vuvuzela dancers from Denmark. Konshens will fly to Denmark with his Di Blue Print Band.
“I stay focused and I am gonna make sure I get one thing out of this for my fans; a duet of Vampino and Konshens,” Vampino, who is currently holding a couple of shows in Sweden told Sqoop via phone.
