Move over the likes of Meddie Ssentongo and Ivan Ssemwanga who love showing off cash. Enter Mwami Radjabu the Nairobi based Congolese businessman.
Those who attended the Koffi Olomide show last Friday must have seen the fellow who got onto stage and started tipping the singer with $100 notes as he performed an entire song. The guy later on tipped every member of Olomide’s Quartier Latina band until he completed his bundle.
We could not verify how much Koffi was given, but it must have been a significant figure because Koffi kept mentioning his name all night long and Mwami watched the rest of the show sitting with members of Koffi’s band on stage.
Apparently businessman who owns Mwami Cabs in Kenya is no stranger to giving out large sums of money to musicians. In fact Jose Chameleone recently composed a song titled Mwami Radjabu and we are told he received about $20,000 (Shs50m) to compose the song.
