Bad blood in Goodlyfe

Goodlyfe

The week started on a bad note for former allies of the Goodlyfe music camp after a fight ensued between Radio and his former managers at Casablanca bar last Sunday.

Radio reported an assault case, causing the arrest and detention of his former manager, Jeff Kiwanuka, and his singing partner Weasel’s younger brother AK 47 and other new Goodlyfe members who spent a better part of Monday at Kiira Road Police. But tables later turned when Radio who was being privately treated by a doctor at their Makindye home, was forcefully arrested and taken to Katwe Police Station before being transfered to CPS.  He had been counter accused for beating the people he had got arrested and vandalism of property. There was drama as Radio’s relatives including his mother tried to block the police from arresting him at their Makindye home.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, singer Pallaso who had been accused of punching Radio on several gossip websites, released a statement denying any wrongdoing to his ‘brother’ Radio. “ I have nothing to do with this situation. It’s an ongoing beef that even existed before my arrival to Uganda that even split a powerful group and now the media has finally caught its grip on dragging me in the situation…” read part of Pallaso’s statement.

Before the dust could go down, Producer Just Jose, also e-mailed us a statement announcing his stepping down from representing Radio and Weasel as their international manager.

“I, Joseph Mwima a.k.a Just Jose would like to officially announce that I will no longer do international management for Radio and Weasel like I have been doing for the past two years,” read part of Jose’s statement in part.

But while all this drama was going on, Weasel was visibly absent. However, he has musically chosen to stick with Radio even when reports indicate Jeff Kiwanuka tried to convince him to ditch Radio and join the new crew that has his two brothers AK 47 and Pallaso.
