Last week, so much went on in Eagles’ Production Band, with most members choosing to form a new Golden Productions Band. The rebranding came with new rules and among them was eliminating internal love affairs. As such, Jemimah Namatovu, who allegedly was in a relationship and even had a child with Ronald Mayinja, was the first to face the axe.
And when it was time to announce the new recruits into the band, we were shocked when the Golden Productions manager Musa Kavuma announced Gagamel musician Edith Kay as a new entrant in the band. Edith Kay has been looked at as a perfect replacement for singer Rema who quit Bebe Cool’s crew sometime last year. She has been one of Bebe’s back-up singers although she has a couple of songs on her own and some were beginning to receive airplay on radio and TV stations. Bebe Cool was in Ethiopia filming the Tusker Twende Kazi reality show when we got the news, but we are sure he won’t receive this as good news.
