Veteran Capital FM presenter Alex Ndawula was the topic on social media over the weekend and for a better part of this week after he made posts revealing that his wife Drucilla had walked out of their marriage.
“I have to say this, I hurt! I have been with a lady who I love deeply! Want her, need her but she does stupid shi*t! Why? I don’t know! But she is where she is coz someone had her back! For those who know me, please tell her- I love her and whatever is jack!” read one of Alex’s posts on Facebook!
Friends and family immediately engaged the veteran radio DJ to calm down and get his problems off the social network. But Alex could not control his emotions as he went on to post; “I’m just pissed off coz of BS and my lady doing BS! Yet I have to come correct.”
On Sunday, Alex received a call from his employers at Capital FM asking him to take a few days off so that he could settle his problems but Alex turned down the offer.
A close friend told us that Alex was really hurt by his wife of several years, but he “made the posts after taking some alcohol. He shouldn’t have done such a thing to himself,” the friend told us.
Alex turned up for work on Monday as usual and he was cheerful throughout the show. He did the same on Tuesday. A workmate told us that Alex had been talked to by his family and friends and he decided to handle things like a man.
“He is okay. He is happy and he seems to be overcoming all that happened. I’m sure it will take some time, but he is at least doing his job right and that really matters in times like this,” one of Alex’s workmates told us.
“Thanx to all with good intentions! But truth is…I hurt! And I’m not Superman,” Alex later posted, trying to come to terms with his situtation.
Alex much as you “are not superman” like you said, how about this piece of simple advice; big boys don’t cry.
