Just last week, we ran a story on these very pages that the Uganda Police Force had objected to The Battle of Champions and Busy Signal concerts happening on the same date.
Earlier info that reached our desk had indicated that Andrew Felix Kaweesi, the Kampala metropolitan police commander, had ordered the organisers of the Battle of Champions show between Good Lyfe and Bebe Cool, to postpone it to a later date.
But there was a change of direction as earlier this week, we received news that Kaweesi, had cleared the Battle of Champions concert in a letter dated November 11.
“A review meeting involving all stakeholders has been held … and it has been agreed that police would to its best to police both shows since authorisation had already been given,” Kaweesi is quoted in the letter.
So who will win the battle? We shall tell on December 6.
