It’s one thing to put up an impressive performance, it’s another to be rewarded for that performance. At the annual UK show which was organised by Ugandans in the Diaspora to celebrate the 51st anniversary, artistes Rema, Eddy Kenzo and Catherine Kusasira gave an energetic performance but had a hard time getting paid for their efforts.
After their performance at Royal Regency Hotel, the promoter a one Richmond could not fulfill his promise of paying the artistes when the concert was done.
The artistes had earlier refused to step on stage before getting paid though Richmond managed to convince them to perform. It also emerged that there wasn’t a written agreement to how much Richmond owed the artistes.
