After our “great” performance at the Miss World, it was high time the guns were turned back to the famous beauty contest of Nkumba University. On Saturday, October 12th, Alice Karami was crowned Miss Nkumba 2013 in this tightly contested beauty race.
Karami who steps into the shoes of Daphne Mulungi is a third year student of Procurement. For her beauty, she walked away with full tuition fees for one semester and a dinner voucher for two at Serena hotel. The first and second runners up received 50 per cent and 25 per cent tuition waivers respectively.
Unlike last year, there were no complaints as far as the organisation was concerned.
