Cool Jewellery and Beads. I make necklaces, bracelets, anklets and earrings.
When did you start it?
I opened it last December.
Where are you located?
I haven’t yet gotten business premises but I work at home, on Ggaba Road, opposite Cornerstone. You can contact me on 0774766877.
How much did you invest?
I invested just 20,000 to buy materials but the business is now worth over Shs200,000.
What are your charges?
Earrings range from Shs1500 to Shs 2500, necklaces range from Shs10,000 to Shs15,000. Anklets cost between Shs3,000 and Shs5,000 while bracelets cost between Shs3,000 and Shs5,000.
Did you study what you do?
I was taught by a very good friend of mine. I’m pursuing a Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science at Makerere.
How much do you make on a good and bad day?
I make Shs50,000 on a good day and Shs20,000 on a bad day.
Any challenges?
Since I’m new in the business, it’s difficult to identify customers, so I use friends and relatives to help me sell my products. Also, there are a lot of debts, especially people I know.
