Nile Breweries opening new plant in Mbarara

Do you live in western Uganda? Has any of your favourite beer brands gone missing for too long just because the truck was involved in accident or got mechanical problems along the way?
Nile Breweries seems to have taken care of this as the beverage manufacturers who are part of the Sabmiller group are set to unveil a new plant in western Uganda. The new beverage processing plant is situate in Mbarara, along Bushenyi road and is due for opening next week.
According to sources within NBL, the plant will take care of the ever growing demand in western Uganda as well as countries like DR Congo, Rwanda and Burundi.

“The distance from Kampala was quite long, so the new plant will cater for areas of western Uganda and neighbouring countries where the demand of NBL products is on the rise,” the source told us. Nile Breweries will be the first big alcoholic beverage player to open up a brewery in western Uganda. The other player is the Century Bottling Company, the makers of Coca Cola products. Way to go Nile Breweries.
