UK-based Ganda Boys in collabo with Juliana

The Ganda Boys are causing ripples on the world music scene and some of their songs have featured as soundtracks for prime time dramas like BBC’s Moses Jones and ITV’s The Jury.
Denis Mugagga and Daniel Sewagude, formerly called Da Twinz, became Ganda Boys after teaming up with composer Craig Pruess as their music director.

Currently working on their third album with renowned South African composer, arranger, producer and drummer, Samson Cedric, the boys are rediscovering their roots and they will be working with Juliana Kanyomozi on one of their songs.

“When Craig visited Uganda sometime back on a trip that was mainly dominated by charity work, he fell in love with Juliana’s voice. Arriving back in London he told us of her amazing voice. I told him that we shared a similar nurturing in music as we attended the same high school with her (Namasagali),” Mugagga told us.

“It turned out we were all great admirers of our friend’s talent. Her great voice, ability to articulate, and with a wide range of knowledge in the performing arts gained over the years, we thought it was best we work with her. We contacted Juliana who gracefully accepted to record a song with us. Preparations are under way to make studio time for the recording. The track will be a grand piano led ballad with a 40 piece orchestra by the Lithuanian State Orchestra,” he added.

“We strongly believe that she is one voice that can compete with the likes of Adele here in London given a great producer,” Mugagga heaped praises on her. We are awaiting the outcome of the collabo.
