Cayenne closed by KCCA but later re-opened

There was panic at Cayenne Bar and Restaurant in Bukoto last week when KCCA officials swung into action and closed down the facility. According to sources from the health wing of KCCA, there was a long running battle between Cayenne and neighbours over its poor sewage drainage system. According to KCCA officials, the bar owners were alerted about the escalating complaints from the neighbours but they turned a deaf ear. And last week, KCCA officials closed down the bar over poor hygiene. The officials also alleged that the bar had a very dirty and untidy swimming pool.

On seeing several KCCA officials, Mario Brunett, one of the managers at Cayenne, also singer Cindy’s boyfriend, pleaded with KCCA officials but in vain. KCCA media officer Robert Kalumba confirmed the closure of Cayenne and said they were waiting for a review report from KCCA health experts in order to determine whether the bar would be reopened.

Sources told us that on realising his business had been closed, Mario got an attack that saw him unconscious for some minutes. Well, the bar management worked on conforming to KCCA’s regulations and we can reliably confirm that Cayenne is now open for business.
