Former Events Warehouse partner starts XL Events

Patrick

Patrick

Over 10 years ago, two young men Patrick Muyonjo and Peter Kaggwa met and hatched a great idea of starting up a huge events firm. Peter and Patrick later realised their dream when they started Events Warehouse Limited, which a few years ago had grown to be Silk Events’ biggest competitor in the region. Peter got the company clients while Patrick is believed to be one of the best sound engineers in the region.

The pair worked well until a few months back, when they developed serious conflict that saw them part ways. Peter remained in charge of Events Warehouse while Patrick disappeared for some time. However, Patrick resurfaced a few weeks ago with XL Events. It is currently situated at the Kampala Serena Hotel. During an exclusive interview last week, Patrick told us that he was in USA and he purchased new sound, lighting and stage equipment. Patrick told us he had brought in some of the equipment while more is to come later.

“I was hired to do the Konshens show. I tested some of my new equipment at that show. The rest of my equipment arrives in December and I’ll be doing one of the international shows this December,” Patrick told us.
