Exodus, Bugembe, Babirye face off again

Kenya’s premium gospel music awards Groove Awards have come with lots of promises this year. The awards that appreciate and reward gospel artistes in the region have staked a brand new car for 2011’s overall winner. But, like our own Pam Awards, Groove also has regional categories.

There will be a cash prize for all the categories winners and that practically puts Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Judith Babirye, Exodus, G-Way, Ken Mziki and Morgan Isaac in the “thing.” The six Ugandans are contending for the Best Gospel Artiste from Uganda at the Groove Awards 2011.

It may be quite easy to see that Bugembe and Babirye are the frontrunners but Exodus (pictured above) beat the two at last year’s accolade and so it should be a tightly contested award again. Hands crossed!
