On January 1, 2024, Faila embarked on a journey to break the 119 hours and 57 minutes World Record of a cooking marathon that was set by Irish Chef Allan Fisher on 3 October, 2023 in Japan who beat Nigerian Hilda Bachi’s record of 93 hours and 11 minutes.

Chef Faila had earlier on made an announcement in December 2023,  as Uganda’s Chef Dorcas Kirabo alias Mama D was just days into her cookathon that kicked off on 23 December, in which she was also attempting to break the record set by the Irish Chef.

Before Chef Kirabo’s cookathon that lasted for 123 hours and 20 minutes could be reviewed by the Guinness World Records, the Ghanaian Chef kicked started on hers in which she aimed to cook for more than 200 hours.
