Bobi Wine to the Oscars: The People’s President documentary earns nomination

 

Bobi Wine’s ‘The People’s President’ documentary has received a nomination at the Oscars under the Best Documentary Feature.

It has been selected alongside ‘The Eternal Memory’, ‘Four Daughters’, ‘To Kill a Tiger’ and ’20 Days in Mariupol’

The nominees in the key categories for the 96th Academy Awards have just been released and winners will be awarded in Hollywood on March 10th.

This nomination comes eleven days after the documentary won the Audience Choice Award at the esteemed Cinema Eye Honors 2024 in New York, USA.

The 17th edition of the Cinema Eye Honors Awards unfolded in a lively ceremony on Friday, January 12, 2024, at the New York Academy of Medicine in East Harlem.

The Oscars had shortlisted ‘Bobi Wine: The People’s President to return to select cinemas for the MLK weekend (Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend).
