Davido to hold ‘Timeless’ concert in Kampala

Nigerian award-winning artiste David Adedeji Adeleke alias Davido is returning to Uganda for the third time in the Timeless concert scheduled for March 29, 2024 courtesy of NTV, NRG Radio, Fenon events, and Eastern Vibes.

“IT’S OFFICIAL!! Nigerian musician Davido is set to perform live in Kampala on March 29, 2024. Countdown begins now with exactly 100 days until the much-anticipated Timeless event.” Read NTV twitter handle.

The singer, songwriter, and record producer last performed in Uganda at the 30 Billion concert at Pearl of Africa Hotel on the 1st of January 2019.

This time around, he returns as one of Nigeria’s biggest stars and one of Africa’s most expensive artistes.

His concert in Kampala at the Lugogo Cricket Oval comes after the release of his fourth studio album after three years known as Timeless which is a 17-track album that explores musical styles such as dancehall, raga, Konto, highlife, and Afropop.

The 30-year-old received a Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Album for Timeless as well as Best Global Music Performance for Feel and Best African Music Performance for Unavailable.

Davido rose to fame in 2012 after the release of Dami Duro, the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo, and has gone ahead to release timeless tracks including ‘Unavailable’, ‘Fall’, ‘If’, ‘Jowo’, ‘Gobe’, ‘Skelewu’, and ‘Assurance’ among others.
