Ghetto Kids make history, get standing ovation at CAF awards

The emcee of the night introduced them to the stage and said their performance is something nobody should miss, especially those at home.

“From the slums of Kampala to the world stage thanks to social media. This group has stolen the hearts of millions around the world including myself with their electrifying moves and captivating smiles. Here tonight to get you ladies and gentlemen on your feet, put your hand together one more time for Uganda’s best..The Ghetto kids,” said Sophy Aiida while introducing the budding Ugandan dance group on the stage.

Her statements came to reality after the dancers put up a memorable performance on Monday night at the CAF Awards 2023 at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco tonight.
The Triplets Ghetto kids were on the stage for more than 10 minutes and their dance moves and smiles not only left the audience beaming but also earned them a standing ovation.

Some of the enthralled embers of the audience were seen filming the kids using their smartphones as they danced to different songs.
The kids’ performance left a mark in the books of entertainment history as they became the first Ugandans to grace the big stage.
