It is the third day of Uganda’s biggest collective arts Festival but much as many keep asking what exactly happens at Nile discovery resort in Njeru, it is a telltale of Love, dance and Music so far.

Besides the art Markets, face painting and drifting the Nile, several stages have taken to music as revellers continue to manifest love. At the Uganda Waragi love resort, revellers have taken to photo-shoots and drinking.

Nyege Nyege co-founder and organizer Derek Debru says that much as the festival was designed to stand for peace, love, and abundant joy for underground music, tourism is another beat that has been promoted in the mix of it all.

“The festival is driven on musicians in Africa with a deep interest in getting to know the Continent better, it stands for fun and curiosity, pushing boundaries always with a sense of inclusivity and an invitation to wonder,” he says.

A collective arts event that includes an artist residency and community studios with two record labels that includes Nyege Nyege Tapes and Hakuna Kulala as an artist management agency and a legendary party crew called Boutiq Electroniq.

While at Nyege Nyege Festival, all is about a showcase of all the exciting developments on the East African scene, to show daring projects and give a real voice to the underground, making it a highlight for both audiences and musicians and art alike.

In a four days Party Non-Stop at Nile Discovery resort it is a sound of drums, a Musical Celebration, Pioneering Musical Styles, Creative workshops among many. Revellers also get an experience to navigate the Nile.

Finally and most importantly, Nyege Nyege is all about dancing, because when the Nyege hits you, when the urge to dance is no longer controllable, then you must let go, and let Nyege take over.
