Kenzo’s ‘Mbilo mbilo’ gets him an Afrima

Eddy Kenzo’s collaboration song featuring Nigeria’s Niniola won the Best African collaboration Award. The night saw three Ugandans Cindy, Kenzo and Unique raise the flag.

Eddy Kenzo won the Best Collaboration award for the Mbilo Mbilo remix (ft. Nigerian Niniola) beating  Tiwa Savage Ft Dr. Sid (Nigeria – If I Start to Talk) Sarkodie ft Pat Thomas (Ghana – Bra).

The 3rd edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) happened in Lagos last night (Sunday 6th November 2016) at Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos in Nigeria

Cindy Sanyu won Best Female East Africa accolade while Kenzo won the Best Collaboration award for his single Mbilo Mbilo(ft. Nigerian Niniola). Song writer of the year went to Unique. The only other east African winner on the night was Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania who won Best Male East Africa & Song of the year- Utanipenda
