Afrigo band goes digital by putting their new album on Tidal

The Afrigo Band is one of the oldest yet finest bands in the Ugandan entertainment industry. Their music has lasted ages since their inception over 40 years ago.

The Ugandan music Industry has slowly embraced technology and apart from earning from shows, the stakeholders in the music industry have learned that there is also money online. Artistes have started uploading music on Youtube, Tidal, Spotify, itunes and other music streaming sites that pay when the music is played. The latest achievement in the music Industry comes when the legendary music band Afrigo has embraced technology and also decided to go digital.

With just a year ever since the Tidal music streaming app was launched in Uganda, many artistes have registered with the global music streaming app and their music is being streamed live and their bank accounts are smiling in return. Afrigo Band joins the bus of artistes with music on Tidal after their most anticipated Teri Mubi album has been uploaded on Tidal ahead of the album launch this Friday at Hotel Africana.

The 8 truck album also features Jose Chameleone who puts in a verse in the Teri Mubi song, a title track off the album. The release of the album which is already on Tidal will also double as the band’s lead singer Moses Matovu’s 70th birthday.
