Museveni contributes Shs20m to Danz Kumapeesa’s burial

Danz Kumapeesa

Music producer Danz Kumapeesa, real names Daniel Mukisa was laid to rest yesterday at his ancestral home in Kabanyolo Gayaza, with hundreds of people paying their last tribute to him.

Among the prominent people who attended the burial are musicians Bobi Wine, Eddy Kenzo, Lydia Jazmine and Bebe Cool who also brought President Museveni’s condolence, worth shs20m to be used in the burial arrangements.

“I talked to the president a few weeks ago about Danz Kumapeesa’s situation and he promised to do something about it. He had told me he was going to arrange for his further medication in India but sadly that didn’t come to pass. The president to show his condolences has given the family shs20m to help in the burial arrangements,” Bebe Cool said at the burial.

The producer’s mother, MS Jennifer Kisakye appreciated the president’s gesture but called upon the authorities to find justice for his son’s murder. “May the almighty bless President Museveni for what he has done for us. I however call upon the authorities to work on finding the people who clobbered my son to this extent of him losing his life,” she said.

Danz was lost his life on Saturday after spending more than four months in the Intensive Care Unit in Nsambya. He was beaten by unknown people while returning home from work on the 6th June.
