I don’t compete with children – Cindy announces concert, date collides with Sheebah’s festival

Cindy

After a two-year break, Cinderella Sanyu alias Cindy Baiby has announced that she is holding a ‘comeback concert’ scheduled for September 15, 2023, at Kololo Airstrip. The self-proclaimed ‘King Herself’ confirmed this at a press conference today at Rozaho restaurant in Kololo.

However, this date collides with Sheebah Karungi’s Yolo Festival at the same venue and King Michael’s concert at Cricket Oval. Asked why she chose the same date and venue as her nemesis, Cindy said that Kololo Airstrip had no bookings on that day.

“My team and I agreed that the best way to announce my comeback after two years of not releasing music was through a concert. This concert is happening on the 15th of September at Kololo Airstrip,” she said.

“After looking around for a big and available venue, Kololo Airstrip was the only available option. So the bookings have all been made and we are ready to give you a blast,” she added.

The ‘Boom Party’ artiste further said that in the music industry, it’s not about what someone says but more about what someone does.

When asked if she has put it on the same day as Sheebah for competition purposes or if she wants to battle her, the King Herself said she doesn’t compete with children.

“I don’t compete with children, Sheebah is a child in this industry, I even wrote her first song ‘Kunyenyeza’ by the time she started singing, and I had been singing solo for five years. If it is a battle, I have absolutely no problem with it besides I already beat her hands down in music and I have no problem battling any other female artiste in Uganda,” she noted.
