Reggae lovers to gather for the Qwom Qwom reggae festival

Fans of reggae music will this weekend descend to the famous Nyungu Yamawe forest park in Bulindo. The forest will host a reggae event dubbed the Qwom Qwom Reggae Life festival in the park on Saturday.

The event will be headlined by Abeka Band and Lion Story Band headed by Yalongo I and I that will perform on different stages that will be put up in the different corners of the venue.

Speaking at a Press conference held at Nexus Lounge on Friday last week, Paul Edyau, the organizer of the event said that it is going to be the first edition of the festival and will be happening every year at Nyungu Yamawe. “We have decided to bring a festive close to the people because Nyungu Yamawe is near as compared to festivals that have been put out of the capital city in places like Jinja, Mbale, and Western Uganda among other places,” Edyau said.

Abeka Band who are part of the performers is not a new name as they have been having weekly performances in different bars in Kampala like Nexus Lounge, Karibu Grill, and Cream Hotel among other places.
