DANEILLA FILES FOR DIVORCE

A few days back, the media was awash with uncoordinated information about marriage-gone-sour stories of Singer Jose Chameleon and wife Daniella Atim.

Some were speculating that the singer’s wife had left her marital home in Sseguku due to the information that the singer’s close associate Charles Olim aka Sipapa had allegedly given her. Others were quick to suggest that Daniella had found out gruesome facts about Chameleon which upset her.

During that period, Chameleon claimed Sipapa was a criminal, on his Facebook page.

“From the day I knew Sipapa was a burglar, he got uncomfortable and we lost the logistics of friendship!!! It’s sad it’s all been interpreted in the name of a family conflict!!!! Yes. Daniella ain’t happy with some of my ways but above all I am not going to be belittled by a thief, Burglar, posing as a boss to disguise himself in my family issues,” read part of his post on Facebook.

However, the singer’s wife has laid to rest the rumours, after she petitioned for divorce seeking for a lawful separation between her and Chameleon.

In Daniella’s petition No. 72 of 2017, filed on April 18, 2017, she alleges that the singer batters her severely as well as tortures their biological children.

According to her petition, she states that in 2013, Chameleon started abusing her physically and that he would sometimes go back home during late hours of the night and beat her up for no reason.

In the same petition, she goes ahead to explain that she has sustained several bruises and that she  has on many occasions gone to the hospital veiling herself so as to hide the bruises from the public.

The estranged couple wedded on June 8, in 2008 at St. James Biina in Mutungo and have four children – Abba Mayanja, Alba Mayanja, Alfa Mayanja and Amam Mayanja.
