Daddy Andre questions Artin Pro’s quality

Daddy Andre

While being hosted on Galaxy TV’s Evening Rush programme, renowned artiste, producer Daddy Andre real names Andrew Ojambo discredited fellow producer Martin Musoke alias Artin Pro referring to him as a mere DJ and not a producer.

During the programme, Nimrod asked Daddy Andre to list his top five Ugandan producers and after mentioning Axon and Selecta Jeff, he found a hard time naming the third and that is when he was asked about Artin Pro.

In his response, Daddy Andre said Artin Pro is not among them because to him, he sounds more like a DJ than a producer and that he doesn’t find the music he has produced good at all, likening his style to that of a DJ merely mixing sounds, rather than crafting unique and original compositions.

“Artin is good but the way he does his beats is kind of deejaying. He gets a sound and makes it sound like he is deejaying. He is like a selector,” he stated on Friday.

Andre further went on and explained that production has to be beat making, recording, sound mastering, thinking the creativity and building the legacy as well.
