Unconfirmed reports have been circulating all over Social media indicating that musician Catherine Kusaasira was flown out the country to seek special treatment.
These reports have however been confirmed by the musician’s bodyguard known as Herbert Ssemambo Musoke on Monday evening in a video clip shared on Catherine Kusaasira’s Facebook page.
Mr Ssemambo who was responding to the concerns from fans of the musician and calls from members of the press who wanted to seek clarity on the matter confirmed that Kusasira is set to undergo an operation this week. He revealed that for a while, Kusasira has been experiencing a number of complications that he didn’t disclosed to the public.
He revealed that the musician first got these complications during one of her performances in Jinja on New year’s day but the incident was kept off camera.
“Kusasira has been getting health complications for quite some time and we were advised that if she does not undergo an operation to reduce her fats, she will not be able to wake up one day,” said Ssemambo. He explained that the musician needs to have a surgery to help reduce her weight.
Ssemambo noted that by the time Kusasira left the country, she was not feeling well and was experiencing the same complications which that prompted them to make her situation public.
“She cannot spend more than two minutes talking because she pants heavily,” the musician’s bodyguard continued to explain her health condition as he called upon fans to keep her in prayer.
