I have watched Beauty Shop and always liked this movie for the cool vibes it has going on. Gina (Queen Latifah) is an underappreciated hairstylist who quits and opens her shop. She is so excited; her support system is all hands-on deck to get the shop up and running.
On the other hand, her former boss Jorge (Kevin Bacon) is gutted because most of the customers moved to Gina’s shop. For Gina, her new freedom comes with its downside as she faces up to commercial realities such as unhealthy competition. It is fun to watch.
